Last we checked in with Mark Coates, he was scouting locations and drawing up plans to revive his Bebe’s BBQ, which Grub Street reported back in July had closed. This morning Coates checked in to tell us that he has indeed found a new home for his Carolina-meets-Memphis take on barbecue. It’s Fergie’s Pub. Coates has signed on as Fergie’s executive chef and is in the process of overhauling the Center City pub’s menu. Coates says he’s backburnering his plans for a barbecue truck, and expects to have a new menu ready at Fergie’s in two to three weeks.

Somewhat related, HeadHouse, the craft beer café and restaurant that opened and abruptly closed this past summer, is preparing to reopen this weekend, according to the Insider. Madame Saito who owns the bricks and the business has recruited Daniel D’Angelo, a chef-instructor from the Art Institute, to handle the kitchen, which will reportedly serve Asian and American dishes.
