The Brooklyn Bridge Park Corporation is courting concessionaires for a “high quality full-service restaurant” at Pier 6, at Atlantic Avenue. According to a press release, the BBPC is seeking “inventive and creative proposals from quality operators” that will “capture the diversity and originality of Brooklyn’s local fare” and complement the vendors that came to Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Pier 1 earlier this year.
The rendering above shows the restaurant’s proposed rooftop seating, looking onto some forthcoming volleyball courts (there will also be an outdoor terrace). Will Brooklyn finally get a boozy park-side dining destination to rival the Shake Shack? We’ll find out after prospective operators tour the site on December 13 and January 3 (their deadline to answer the Request for Proposals is January 25).
