Brad Johnson, the former Sunset Room and Roxbury partner who used to manage BLT Steak on Sunset, not the Angeleno restaurant critic we adore, has a project in development for Crenshaw Plaza, the shopping center in Baldwin Hills. A press release names the new eatery as “Post and Beam,” which is in approval limbo before it can start construction next to Debbie Allen Dance Studio. Not quite as exciting in the grand-scheme of the mall’s ongoing rebirth and refreshed design is also a new location of mega-chain Buffalo Wild Wings, which is already being built here. In any case, a destination restaurant by Johnson already sounds like an improvement on the Fatburger and Downtown Buffet crowding the complex’s food court.
