IPO plans to open next week at the W Chicago City Center in the Loop. The food is being defined as “new urban cuisine,” which we suppose just means that you can find little bits of everything. So one can get a grilled steak for dinner or shrimp tempura. Also, the open face sesame crusted tofu sandwich comes with truffle fries for lunch. But we are most interested in the breakfast menu where one can score a surf & turf Benedict or beef short ribs with eggs. Yum. Check out the full menu below. Actually, the only question we have is when the restaurant that formally filled the space closed.

IPO is taking the place of Ristorante We, which we honestly didn’t know had closed. In fact, it is still listed as open on the W Hotel website, without any mention of IPO. Only Time Out Chicago (way to go guys!) lists it as closed. A quick phone call confirmed that Ristorante We is no more.
