While Tyson Bees, the food truck from former Chew Man Chu chef Tyson Wong Ophaso that Grub Street’s been going on and on about for several weeks, won’t be making its long awaited debut at tonight’s re-scheduled Night Market in South Philly, there is some progress to report. The truck recently received a makeover, courtesy of artist Yis “NoseGo” Goodwin, whose scheme was inspired by Ophaso’s menu items, including pork buns, Korean short rib tacos and moo shu burritos, Phrequency contributors Isaac Ruth and Gabrielle Bonghi reveal in a new video they’ve posted today. Clearly, Tyson and his crew have demonstrated that they can build buzz, but without an official launch date, we’re left wondering when they’re going to deliver on their hype.
