Taïm and Korean Ramen Trucks Will Rev Up Soon

It’s a big week for food-truck news. As we mentioned in our fall preview, the falafel-slinging folks at Taïm will be hitting the road. They’ve now tweeted that they’re gearing up to be on the streets the first week of November, and Midtown Lunch is begging for a midtown swing-by. Meanwhile, it turns out that Korilla (which got its Midtown Lunch close-up yesterday) won’t be the only Korean-taco unit roaming the streets this fall. Fork in the Road brings news that former Persimmon toque and Momofuku alum Youngsun Lee will be helming a brand-new kimchee-taco truck, to open in two or three weeks. With red kimchee lined up for cold months and white kimchee for hot ones, co-owner Phil Lee says he wants to introduce “Korean food to the mainstream,” and intends to bust out Korean ramen this winter. No news yet on where the truck will park.
