A new “Texas-style cuisine gastropub” is coming to the South Loop. It’s called Ole Hardwood, and the menu will feature “many styles of meat smoking, plank cooking, various rib flavors, and braised dishes.” Hey, at least it’s not another barbecue restaurant. Anyway, a posting on Craigslist shows jobs postings for nearly every position, including servers and bartenders. The only question is where in the South Loop it will be located. Sloopin believes that it might be taking over the space at 1315 S. Wabash, which has been home to both Exposure Tapas and Utopia. It looks like the space is being renovated again, and that some fireplaces are being built in. Check out the full Craigslist post below.

Ole Hardwood is seeking experienced employees for our new restaurant in the South Loop of Chicago. We are a new concept, specializing in Texas-style cuisine in a gastropub style setting. Our menu will feature many styles of meat smoking, plank cooking, various rib flavors, and braised dishes. We use local fresh ingredients and strive for the utmost quality in our food, drinks, and service. Our restaurants are casual in nature with touches of fine dining, modern design and al fresco dining.
