UrbanDaddy says a soft opening is scheduled this weekend for Rowes Wharf ‘s newest addition: Pasta Beach, the pizza and pasta place from Newport that we we’ve mentioned before. The owner, who is Roman, is even said to be importing his chefs from the old country. (Turns out the North End is in short supply of Italians.) Extending beyond their lunch and dinner offerings, Boston’s outpost will operate an espresso bar in the morning, complete with pastries and crepes. In keeping with the popular Newport location, lunch and dinner will consist of straightforward pastas, Neapolitan-style pizzas, focaccia sandwiches, and salads, all of which will be available for take-out.
