Starting at 1 p.m., the food festival allows people to sample and judge soups from local restaurants as they stroll along Smith Street from Atlantic Avenue to Carroll Street. West Village: Starting on October 25, Lowcountry will host fried chicken and football dinners on Monday nights. The set menu includes sweet-tea-brined fried chicken, macaroni salad, and barbecued black-eyed peas. The restaurant will also serve its first brunch this Saturday. [Fork in the Road]
