Looks like one block of Smith Street will see a lot of action this winter. Not only is the former Union Smith Café at 305 Smith getting a makeover, but a self-proclaimed “very nosy” manager at a nearby shop reports that a Moroccan restaurant is opening next door to her at 311 Smith. She’s “150 percent sure” it’s “two young guys” who recently started renovating. We swung by, and sure enough, the former Vintage Cellars wine shop is dusty with construction. A worker wouldn’t come to the door for us, so if you know anything, keep us posted!
