After Phillip Foss left Lockwood to forge his Meatyballs empire, we wondered what direction the restaurant would take. Would they make another gamble on a young and hungry chef, or would they go with someone a little more conservative. Looks like they’ve gone for the former by picking Greg Elliott. He has worked at Naha and One Sixtyblue here in town. Most recently he has been the Executive Chef at a trio of restaurants (Brannan’s, BarVino and Flat Iron Grill) in Napa Valley. Of course, we’ll have to wait until at least December to see what his new menu will look like. [Chicago Mag]
