Mid-Market workers, take note! Off the Grid inaugurates its fifth location today, with a quartet of food trucks serving from now until 2:30ish at U.N. Plaza (Market Street near 7th). As an old man bathes in the fountain nearby, and as a jazz trio (sax, bass, bongos) plays, folks are lining up to taste the reasonably priced wares of Senor Sisig, El Tonayense, Le Truc, and Iz It Fresh Grill. A highlight: Le Truc is doing an organic chicken meatball sub with provolone and pepperoncinis ($8) that’s pretty damn good. [Grub Street]
