Following a two-year stint, executive chef Sara Johannes has departed the kitchen at Wolfgang Puck’s Dallas restaurant Five-Sixty. While Johannes’ former sous chef will step up to fill her boots back in Texas, the company says she’s "relocating to California as an Executive Chef with the group’s flagship regime." It’s hard to imagine Lee Hefter handing off his crown as exec chef at Spago, so we suspect the catering division could be what’s at play here. But a certain someone knows and just isn’t telling. Chef Stephan Pyles leaves a comment at D Magazine announcing that Johannes revealed her future plans to him during Puck’s AWFF. Unfortunately, he wraps it up by saying, "I was sworn to secrecy. It’s pretty exciting stuff."
