Times Square restaurant Insieme couldn’t hold on to its Michelin star post–Marco Canora but it's hoping a new chef might do the trick next year. The restaurant tells us it recently hired Andres Grundy, a Queens native who got his start when a program for inner city high schoolers put him in the kitchen at Daniel, and went on to do turns at Bouley, Aquavit, Montrachet, and others. Last year, when he was chef de cuisine at Clio, StarChefs.com picked him as a Boston Rising Star; he came back to New York to take a gig at L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon, and now here he is — executive chef.
