What happens if you organize a meeting to discuss adding new wine and beer licenses in your town and nobody shows up? Exactly what happened in Braintree on October 12th. So the town’s liquor board decided there was no demand for new licenses. That’s a problem for the new Japanese restaurant Sake, which was left hanging.

Braintree’s last available beer and wine license was granted in August to the new restaurant Four Square (scheduled to open in November,) owned by Senator Robert Hedlund (R) and Marko Fani at 16 Commercial Street at Weymouth Landing. What, Sake’s owners couldn’t set a calendar reminder? [Wicked Local]
