BLT Group Will Bring D.C.’s Casa Nonna to New York

Plenty of New York restaurants have moved down to D.C., but here’s a major case of reverse migration. The BLT Group’s Jimmy Haber and Keith Treyball will be opening a 200-seat branch of their latest concept — a family-style Italian restaurant called Casa Nonna — at 310 West 38th Street, a building which houses Glenwood apartments. The Washington, D.C. spot, launched September, has a menu of traditional Roman and Tuscan dishes including wood-fired pizza, pasta, meats, fish and produce from organic and local farms (see Washington Post critic Tom Sietsema’s early review). Amy Brandwein, executive chef at the D.C. location, will also be involved in the New York spot, which is scheduled to open this spring.
