A tipster tells Grub Street that L.A. Galaxy midfielder and frequent paparazzo target David Beckham and an unidentified male companion dined at Stephen Starr’s posh Rittenhouse steak and chops joint, Barclay Prime, last night. Beckham, who is in town with the rest of his team for tomorrow’s bout against the Philadelphia Union, ate Barclay’s infamous $100 Cheesesteak. Yes, people do actually order it, and sometimes they are famous. Following his meal, Barclay Prime’s managers escorted Beckham through the kitchen and out the backdoor to avoid the swarming mass of photographers who were awaiting him out front.
