With the Phillies going into the National League Championship Series tomorrow night against the San Francisco Giants, Monica Glass, the tremendously talented pastry chef at 10 Arts, can barely contain her passion for her hometown team. She’s a lifelong fan who grew up going to nearly every game. Her family had season tickets, with seats right on the third base line. “I’m crazy about the Phillies,” she told Grub Street. During last fall’s World Series, when Phillies Phever was running full pitch, Glass decided to top off her popular red velvet cupcakes with a big red “P.” “It’s my way of showing support.” They were a grand slam. “Everyone loved them,” she said. “All throughout this year’s season, people have been asking me when am I bringing them back.” Starting today, Glass’ Phillies inspired cupcakes are available as part of 10 Arts’ mini-cupcake trio for $10, and will surely be in demand tomorrow night when the restaurant rolls out their flat screens to show the game in the lounge.
