As mentioned earlier, Zagat has been planning to follow Yelp and OpenTable (along with Lifesta and all those other sites) into the increasingly crowded dining-discount game. Today, they launched Zagat Exclusives in New York, and they’ll soon roll it out in Chicago, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and San Francisco. But if you were expecting to pay pennies on the dollar at some blistering hot spot, you may be disappointed: Today’s deal is $69 for a three-course meal at the 21 Club (actually, the price goes down as more people join in the deal — at the time of this posting it was at $59). Then again, the current deal on BlackBoard Eats is for 30 percent off lunch or dinner at Cipriani Wall Street. Insert “you couldn’t pay me to eat there” snark here.
