As reported this spring, the East Coast’s blue crab population is in better shape now than it has been for more than two years. With the tasty crustaceans coming into season, the Oyster House is kicking off a new Tuesday night Blue Crab Feast, which includes three locally procured jumbo hard shell blue crabs for $19. For true blue crab freaks, there’s also an all-you-can-eat special being offered for $30. The crabs, which are in season for just a few short weeks and caught off the coast of New Jersey and Delaware, are simply prepared — steamed in beer and Old Bay seasoning — to best showcase their naturally sweet and delicate flavor and served with locally grown corn and housemade coleslaw. The Oyster House will offer the special every Tuesday from tonight through he end of October. A portion of the proceeds from the Oyster House’s crab sales each week will be donated to the Gulf Coast Oil Spill Fund.
