Devoted Grub Street readers may recall when the Food Chain hopped to Oakland last spring, and Bakesale Betty’s Alison Barakat picked her beloved dish: the boudin blanc that makes occasional appearances on Russell Moore’s menu at Camino. Well, Monday marks the start of a series of Oktoberfest dinners at Camino, featuring a German-inspired salad course, a main course (Monday’s is the succulent, downright perfect boudin blanc, which is a creamy white sausage made with ground chicken and pork), and dessert for around $30. The best part: gratis fresh pretzels. [Grub Street]
