All six of Marathon’s locations around town are getting in on the rogue restaurant week action with a new nightly prix fixe menu option that will run through the duration of Center City Restaurant Week. Upping the ante for Restaurant Week and its many imitators, Marathon’s menu features three courses for $20. For an additional $20, they will throw in a bottle of wine to compliment the meal. Dishes will change frequently, but some highlights include Mushroom Risotto, with parmesan cheese, crimini mushrooms and asparagus, Spinach Salad, with Asian pears, cranberry and goat cheese, Pan-Seared Flank Steak, with roasted vegetables, marinated tomatoes and feta cheese, Grilled Striped Bass with wheat berry, shiitake mushrooms, spinach and artichoke vinaigrette, and Apple Crumble, with vanilla ice cream and caramel. Wine selections include Martin Codax Albariño and Yard Dog petit verdot-cabernet sauvignon.
