Keith McNally didn’t exactly breeze through last night’s Community Board 2 meeting. According to Eater, fourteen nay-saying neighbors turned out to oppose his efforts to McNallify a former paper store and turn it into a Pulino’s Café, a smaller outpost of Pulino’s. McNally addressed concerns about noise and crowding by (among other things) agreeing to give his home phone number out (fine, now how about that AAA-level reservation line at Minetta?), but he declined to completely enclose the space. Chances of the community blocking this one: thinner than the crust of a Nate Appleman pie.
