Coming directly on the heels of today’s news of APO Bar + Lounge’s untimely demise, is scuttlebutt that Top Chef: D.C. winner Kevin Sbraga could possibly be the space’s next tenant. As Grub Street mentioned Tuesday, the Willingboro native has been spotted scouting restaurant locations near APO this week. Sbraga himself tweeted that he had looked at some promising properties, and that he could have an “interest in something by the end of the week.” While details are hazy about the site’s future — aside from Saturday being APO’s last day in business — the local foodierati is lighting up the twittersphere with rumor and speculation that the space will be the home of Sbraga’s restaurant.
