Come September 24, Lincoln Center’s sloping elevated lawn will draw more than picnickers. Beneath that verdant roof is the sleek, glass-walled Lincoln, where chef Jonathan Benno, late of Per Se, has assembled a modern-Italian menu, served à la carte to start. Lunch launches September 30, and will eventually feature a prix fixe “menu del territorio” celebrating specific terroir and local products like Satur Farms’ lettuce (in the romaine salad) and Paffenroth Gardens’ eggplant (in the caponata). Though it might make sense, we don’t imagine they’ll be ringing bells and flickering the lights pre-curtain. Take a look at the restaurant in our slideshow.
