Delayed Construction at Off-Vine Leads to Suit Against Simpsons Actor

Ay caramba! Nancy Cartwright, the voice of Bart Simpson, is being sued over her involvement in the restoration of Hollywood’s Off Vine restaurant. According to TMZ, the actor’s former fiancée, Stephen Brackett, owned a construction company hired to fix up the house-bound restaurant, with Cartwright signed on to the insurance policy in case anything went wrong. And wrong they went, when Brackett tragically committed suicide, shuttering his company and leaving the job only partially done following allegations that he had diverted funds to The Church of Scientology. After completing construction on Off Vine, the insurance company claims Cartwright refused to cover the expenses she was liable for, leading ASCIC to “have a cow, man,” and begin the current lawsuit against the actor for $260,000.
