Cindy Pawlcyn Expands to the Monterey Bay Aquarium

Following a lengthy bid and selection process, Mustards Grill chef-owner Cindy Pawlcyn won the privilege to open a new restaurant at the Monterey Bay Aquarium, and today the Scoop reports some more details about the deal. First off, Pawlcyn will take over the existing 300-seat restaurant, Portola, and start cooking her food there in November. Then, with the help of designer Michael Guthrie, she’ll be transforming the space come spring, making it more flexible and open to the private event space. Being a Minnesota native, Pawlcyn says she’s excited to be spending more time by the ocean. [Scoop]
