City Bakery’s spinoff, Birdbath, is opening its fourth location tomorrow at 11 a.m., and unlike the other broom closets, this one will have actual communal tables and two-tops! The new location, in the lobby of the New Museum, is a short stroll from the Soho shop, and it’ll feature a familiar mix of items rickshawed over from City Bakery (kale salad, turkey-meatloaf sliders, pizzas, pretzel croissants, cookies, etc.), plus a New Museum Cookie, debuting on Friday. As you’d expect, furniture designers Uhuru have used stools made from hardwood scraps from local wood shops, tables made from a high percentage of post-consumer recycled steel and aluminum, counters made from recycled glass and cement, and there’s a 25 percent discount if you arrive by bike or skateboard (plus a 10 percent discount for museum members). Hours are the same as the museum’s: Wednesday from 11 a.m. till 6 p.m., Thursday from 11 p.m. till 9 p.m., and Friday through Sunday from 11 a.m. till 6 p.m.
