What to Expect at Abbey, Bringing Bison Bolognese to Brookline

Former The Washington Square Tavern manager Damian Dowling and chef Josh Sherman will open Abbey in the former home of Dalia’s at 1657 Beacon Street, reports Brookline Patch. It sounds like a doozy: substantial beer, whiskey, and single-malt lists (though Dowling is quick to point out that they’re not trying to compete with The Publick House), “American bistro” food including bison Bolognese and lamb lollipops, and an open kitchen. Abbey is slated to open by month’s end.
