The Northeast’s Grey Lodge Pub kicked off - or should that be tapped? - its sole Friday the Firkinteenth celebration for 2010 this morning at 9 a.m. sharp. Dock Street’s Summer Session, an oak-aged Stoudt’s Scarlet Lady ESB and a limited release English bitter from Victory Brewing Co. were among the first seven of what seems like an endless parade of firkins tapped. Throughout the day and well into the evening, owner Mike “Scoats” Scotese and his crew will keep the suds pumping with a line-up of 30 cask conditioned ales, the majority of which are special one-off brews from local and far away breweries. As each firkin (a 72-pint vessel) kicks, another will be tapped until all are empty. Click through to see the entire list of ales that will be tapped today.
