The Schnitzel Wagon Hits The Streets

The Schnitzel Wagon, already super fun to scream in an exaggerated German accent, is now serving L.A. with a stock of fried meats and Deutschland treats. The stylish blue vehicle, still in its infancy, has been mostly parked on Mid-Wilshire during lunch service, with signature schnitzel available in veal, chicken, and beef, along with daily bratwurst and falafel on Fridays. And where can you find der food vagon?

According to the truck’s Twitter, an early run found them sold out of their food rather quickly, and that’s without the possibility of beer on-board, so schnitzel is apparently in demand around here. The limited menu might not be enough to keep you from entering the fray at Wurstkuche, but cross your fingers it’s good enough to save you that annual haul to Alpine Village come Oktober. A Schnitzel Wagon website is forthcoming, while the truck is currently trackable through Twitter, where a Downtown voyage has been announced today.

UPDATE: Midtown Lunch tells us this truck bears an extremely close design to New York’s popular “Schnitzel and Things.”
