Ronen Seri of Blossom in Chelsea and Café Blossom on the Upper West Side tells us he’s opening a third vegan restaurant, V-Note, at 1522 First Avenue — meaning Candle Café is about to get some competition. Seri tells us the menu will be similar to the one at Blossom and include the soy burger with tempeh bacon that Gwyneth Paltrow has been known to enjoy, plus tapas, seitan skewers, and the like. A full menu will be served to the 45-seat room until about 10 p.m., and a limited menu will follow till midnight. Low seating and dim lights will make for a lounge-y atmosphere, as will a list of organic and kosher wines and beers. V-Note will open around September 10.
