Jon Myerow, who owns the Tria cheese-centric cafes in Center City, is as addicted to his BlackBerry as the next guy. But come time for an artisanal beer and a gooey chevre, the device–all conversation-killing devices–makes Myerow cringe. “When you’re out with friends, we should be with friends,” he told Rick Nichols. So when his new restaurant, Biba, opens in a few weeks, there will be no WiFi, no television, and no “time-filling diversions.” It’s a bit scary that such an omission warrants a headline.
