Last December, Rush Street told Grub Street (cuz the streets do talk) about plans to open a new pub-centric microwbrew-house in Culver City. The stated mid-2010 opening has come and gone, but Eater pin-pointed the location, announcing the owners’ take-over of the old Double Dutch Dinette space on Washington, just a few blocks west of their Chicago-style restaurant. With a projected opening this winter or early next year, it will be interesting to see if Rush Street can shed its frat-pack antics for something casual but potentially more sophisticated. That is, if they’re even considering leaving this one without a built-in stripper pole.
Rush Street’s Unnamed Microbrew Project, coming to 9806 Washington Blvd. Culver City.
