Big doings in the world of lobsters: In addition to the new D.C. truck we told you about earlier today, Red Hook Lobster Pound tells Fork in the Road that it’ll add 40 seats in about two weeks — a big jump from its current couple of benches. Meanwhile in Manhattan, Luke’s Lobster tells us it has added a fryer to its Upper East Side location and is now selling fried clams and shrimp for $20 and $12, respectively. Finally, Time Out reports that the delayed Ditch Plains concession stand at Brooklyn Bridge Park is now open on Thursdays for the park’s Movies with a View series. Ditch Plains tells us it’s still waiting on the city’s go-ahead to open on a daily basis, but hopes to do so by the end of summer.
