’Cue Tips: Summer’s Last Chances to Get Barbecue With a Side of Tunes

Summer’s almost over, so if you want to hit some concerts and dance parties and rip into some barbecue, you’re going to have to multitask. Finger on the Pulse, the creators of “Dinner With the Band,” will be throwing their last two barbecues of the season at Good Co. The first is this Saturday from 6 till 10 p.m.: Fatty ’Cue will serve up $5 plates of barbecued lamb ribs, curried black-eyed peas, and Brooklyn Grange green salad. Then on Wednesday, August 25, from 7 till 11 p.m., New York Diet alum Andrew W.K. will D.J. while Frankies Sputino offers up roasted-vegetable antipasto, radish-and-corn salad, potato salad, grilled sausage (bratwust) and onions, and Frankies meatballs with pine nuts and raisins.

The Daily News has a rundown of the barbecue (from Fatty ’Cue, Dinosaur, Char No. 4, and Brother Jimmy’s) that you’ll find at the Blues BBQ Festival at Pier 54 (14th Street and Hudson River) this Sunday from 2 till 9 p.m. Acts include Smokin’ Joe Kubek and Bnois King Band, Janiva Magness, Joe Louis Walker, Teeny Tucker Revue, and Cyril Neville.
