This fall, farms are shipping their meat down to two big outdoor events featuring an array of talented chefs. These won’t be staid celebrations of meticulous sourcing — rest assured there’ll be beer, wine, and music at both. Save the following two dates in October.
DEBRAGGA AT DUSK
Time and Place: October 9, 6 till 9 p.m. at 826-D Washington Street
The Producers: Niman Ranch, Joyce Farms in North Carolina, and Imperial Wagyu in Iowa, South Shore Ducks
The Chefs: Daniel Boulud, Terrance Brennan, Tom Colicchio, Michael Lomonaco, Alfred Portale, and Laurent Tourondel.

PIG ISLAND
Time and Place: October 2, 11:30 a.m. till 4:30 p.m. at Governors Island
The Producers: Violet Hill Farm, the Piggery, and Heritage Meats offer up 60 pigs.
The Chefs: Sara Jenkins (Porchetta), Mary Cleaver (the Green Table), Matt Weingarten (Inside Park at St. Barts), Dave Schuttenberg (Cabrito), Kevin Pomplan (Picnick Smoked), Patrick Connolly (Bobo), and more.
