Bistrotek Touts New Chef and Menus

Santa Monica native Lorin Krone recently graduated from sous chef to exec chef at Bistrotek, filling the shoes once worn by Paul Arias at the Custom Hotel’s restaurant. Since things might have been a little slow over there in Westchester, Krone used his days off to study with Wolfgang Puck, joining the legend’s catering team to feed the crowds at the Oscars and Grammy’s. A farmers market-devotee, Krone released new menus this week, focusing on fresh produce. What can you expect to eat here?

Signature dishes include a rum and Coke jerk chicken with pecan wild rice and pineapple salsa, and Harbor prawns in chili garlic butter with parmesan risotto and toast points, plus desserts like chocolate espresso mousse and goat cheese cheesecake with bruleed orange segments and whiskey reduction.
