Though we had a number of deserving candidates for our free-beer-at-Eat-Real contest, we’re suckers for drama, and we had to go with the sob stories that most cried out for gratis alcohol. Congratulations to Mindy, who’s into home-brewing and whose husband sliced open his hand when their window shattered during this week’s record heat; Raymond, the cook, who rarely gets a weekend off but will be living it up at Eat Real this year; and Dre, who is unemployed, recently dumped, and getting kicked out of a sublet (and also promises some entertainment to festival-goers by way of EPIC monster burps – but Dre, we need you to email us your full name).
