What To Eat From Simon L.A.’s New Dessert Menu

Not going anywhere...
Not going anywhere… Photo: Simon LA

Simon L.A., Simon Kerry’s restaurant at the Sofitel, has a new dessert menu of ten-dollar tarts, cakes, and sweets, but fret not xylose zealots, the adult junk food platter isn’t going anywhere, no less after they sold a zillion following its appearance on Blackboard Eats. But on to the new. Still in time for summer, there’s a peach crostata with apple streusel and brown butter ice cream, plus a vanilla ice cream-based take on S’mores with house-made marshmallows and topped with a graham cracker tuile, and for the cavity-prone, a plate of California cheeses. For those that can’t get enough of the raw, there’s a chocolate parfait made with raw chocolate, coconut cashew cream, and market strawberries. Even sweeter? We actually catch Kerry Simon here from time to time. Check out the full new dessert menu below to see if it will steer you from ye olde platter of junke, much like our attention gets drawn from our cocktails when Jamie Grubbs seats the table across from us.
