What to Eat at Pourtal’s New Lunch

Santa Monica’s Pourtal Wine Bar now serves lunch from Wednesdays through Sunday, noon to 4:00 P.M. Chef Sean Takaki’s menu is limited to nine items of well-contemplated, well-constructed sandwiches, salads, and flatbreads. There’s a thanksgiving-style panino with hand-carved turkey, cranberry compote, brie, and chipotle aioli, as well as a pineapple-burgundy-braised pork belly on a baguette, an organic egg sandwich, a B.L.A.T., goat cheese and market berry salad, and lamb kofta and lamb gyros. Right now Pourtal is celebrating the introduction of lunch with a five-dollar glass of wine to match any lunch menu selection. See the wine bar’s full new lunch menu below.
