What to Eat at Milwaukee Avenue Arts Festival’s Pop-Up Restaurant

We have to admit to being a little confused about this whole pop-up restaurant business going on at the Logan Square Kitchen. Both Feast and Time Out Chicago have reported that Urban Belly’s Bill Kim and Lula Cafe’s Jason Hammel will be cooking at this weekend’s Milwaukee Avenue Arts Fest, and both are calling it a pop-up restaurant. But what does that mean? Turns out it is sort of like street food, but they’ll be able to cook and sell food from friendly confines of the Logan Square Kitchen. That way they won’t have to deal with any of those pesky Chicago street food legal hurtles. Look out for hoisin-barbecue chicken ssams and snow cones from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Time Out Chicago has the full menu on their site. [TOC, Feast]
