User Reviews: Get Your ‘Mind Blown’ at Barbuto

We have full faith in the culinary opinions of our stalwart critics, Adam Platt, Rob Patronite, and Robin Raisfeld, but sometimes what we really want to hear is what the average diner has to say. So we turn to nymag.com’s restaurant user reviews for guidance. This week: Barbuto, Pulino’s, Daniel, Del Posto, and Il Buco.

Barbuto, current rating: 6
“Don’t be afraid to venture out and try the pizza w/ egg - but only if you want your mind blown.” BigTyme

Pulino’s, current rating: 6
“Service was great but it was so loud, even though the place was still slightly empty I had to yell across the table for the full hour.” JCity

Daniel, current rating: 9
“I ordered for dessert a vacherin which was done in two levels — strawberry & blueberry with amazing thin wafers of sponge and these little honeycomb straws. Then they surprised me by bringing another little chocolate dessert and if I wasn’t done, then came the petit fours — no wonder this is one of the world’s top ten restaurants.” energybash

Del Posto, current rating: 8
“It kind of feels like Vegas in there. I’d much rather cram in at Lupa, unbutton my collar and just have a great meal and a good time.” jkaye

Il Buco, current rating: 7
“My husband and I spent part of our dinner arguing whether il Buco is the best winter or summer restaurant. We finally agreed — summer in the wine cellar, winter in the dining room.” nycl
