Making our lives easier.

He sort of confirmed it yesterday on Twitter, but today Graham Elliot sent out a press release that explictly addressed the dropping of his last name Bowles. “After a lifetime of confusion and typos, the chef who bears three names is simplifying things. Chef Graham Elliot Bowles will now be referred to professionally as Graham Elliot.” He also explains that he decided to drop the last name before Masterchef started. There is apparently no ulterior motive besides, “It’s just easier.” The full press release is below.

After a lifetime of confusion and typos, the chef who bears three names is simplifying things. Chef Graham Elliot Bowles will now be referred to professionally as Graham Elliot.

The decision was made prior to the launch of MASTERCHEF, Fox’s new series where Graham judges aspiring home-cooks alongside Gordon Ramsey and Joe Bastianich. The series debuted as the highest rated series summer premiere on any network since 2008.

“I’m not changing my name because I got in a fight with my father, or because I want to go ‘P Diddy’ on everyone,” says Graham. “It’s just easier.”
