The Big Swirl is the latest food truck spotted making the cross-city commute in L.A. An aqua-marine vehicle sporting sparkles and a smiley jolly roger with a soft-serve cap, Big Swirl carries sorbet and dairy-free fro-yo, which customers serve and top themselves on the truck’s flank. A website tells us their (groan) “frozen bling” comes from one chef David, a gelato-maker from Bellagio, Italy, with flavors including Nutella, limoncello, mango, green apple, and cappucino. If you want to catch up with The Big Swirl in the hopes that their flavors aren’t as out of date as their slang, they plan to be in the Santa Monica area today, though tracking the truck on Twitter is your best bet to connect.
