It rained buckets on Saturday, unleashing nearly six and half inches of water in some parts of the city. Chicagoist points out that was the third largest two-day total in Chicago history. Though many restaurants had issues, it looks like Logan Square got the brunt of the runoff, as a score of restaurants had to close over the weekend because of flooding in their basements. We noticed that Longman & Eagle, Ciao Napoli, Lula Cafe, Dunley’s on the Square, Taqueria Moran, Hot Doug’s, and The Whistler all had to either close or stop serving food. Most places are luckily opening today. Lula Cafe is still closed, but as 312 Dining Diva pointed out, it has been giving updates on Facebook, and it plans to open soon.
