First Look at Stephanie Izard’s The Girl & the Goat, Now Open

Stephanie Izard’s The Girl & the Goat opened last night, after multiple contests, name changes, and a few delays. Though it felt like ages since the project was first rumored, it actually only took two years for Izard to go from winning the forth season of Top Chef to opening this restaurant. We got a first look at opening day, along with a view of the updated and completely different menu.

The updated menu features almost none of the same items as the teaser menu, which means she will either be changing it quite often, or just likes to mess with our heads. The only items to stick around are the ham frites, and the goat pizza. Luckily everything on this menu looks good, too.

The decoration really fits in with the West Loop vibe. There are high ceilings and gorgeous wood floors. Luckily, none of those goat items she called for in her last contest are being displayed in the dining area.
