City Keeps Stripping Gents’ Clubs of Privileges

Neighbors who successfully fought for the demise of a strip club in Rosedale, Queens (it closed after a local lawmaker filed a nuisance lawsuit and the liquor license wasn’t renewed) have now succeeded in getting its racy sign covered up. (This while hipsters run around topless in Montauk and toplessness is nixed at the Jersey Shore.) Your Nabe has the story. Elsewhere in the war against smut, the Post reports that gents’ club owner Sam Zherka (last seen opposing a proposed $10 tax on strip-club clientele) is trying to rally hundreds of dancers in a protest against such persecution, but he’s found that “it’s been a nightmare. Each girl has her own agenda.” Hey, nobody said pimpin’ was easy.
