Remember “rich kid” Allyson Ames and the super-sugary empire she was trying to import from O.C. to L.A.? Fast Food Maven gives us the signal that Ames’ invasion is a sure thing, planned for an October opening at The Grove. There Ames will open the first city location of her Wonderland Bakery, which has been a huge hit in her native Newport, landing the baker on The Today Show and The View. What should you expect from Wonderland Bakery at The Grove?
Doors are planned to open on October 1st, with four times the space of the original location to house Ames’ endless stock of cookies, cupcakes, icing, and cakes. In addition to the retail store, this Grove depot will have an enchanted garden for tea and birthday parties, as well as other private tête-à-tête. This bigger space will serve as a cookie cutter for Ames’ expansion outside of O.C., which includes a larger focus on parties and events. But Ames isn’t forgetting where she came from. The former Angels bat girl just introduced a new cookie and cupcake combo bearing the team’s logo. Let’s see what she can do for Dodger town this fall.
