A glowing review at The Atlantic today may or may not be trustworthy since it’s written by a scientist-philanthropist who was invited to friends and family by the guy who designed the place, but nevertheless it gives a good idea of what Nuela (the Nuevo Latino newcomer in the former Sapa space) will be like when it opens Monday. Expect Douglas Rodriguez protégé Adam Schop to serve eighteen types of seviche, beef heart with aji panca and confit potatoes, and the amazing-sounding arroz con pato, “a combination of crispy duck breast, roasted fois gras, verde rice and soft duck egg.” Meanwhile, UrbanDaddy promises whole-animal feasts such as a guava-covered suckling pig.
